Research interests:
1. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is one of the most common progressive disorders of the motor system. We intended to establish gene knockout rat model, then study the pathological changes of nervous system, behavioral change and develop the method to primary culture spinal cord motor neurons from rat, build ALS rat model for drug screening.
2. Molecular mechanism of Sonic Hedgehog gene in development.
3. Molecular biology of DNA backbone modification – DNA phosphorothioation
